Field Service Technician

Job Description

Summary This individual is primarily responsible for facilitating the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of Hercules medical equipment at customer's facilities throughout the United States. The individual must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with the customer to coordinate the delivery, installation, maintenance, and repairs while also performing in-service training. Individual must have competent mechanical ability using all types of hand tools and be capable of following detailed instructions. Individual must be willing to travel on average 80% of the time. Most importantly, the individual must be customer-focused and ensure the customer is 100% satisfied at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1. Deliver and install Hercules equipment at customer's facilities (typically acute care hospitals across the United States) 2. Maintain said equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and all aspects of managing the life cycle of the equipment through warranty, post-warranty and contract obligations 3. Collaborate with the customer in the planning and scheduling of the delivery, installation and repair 4. Manage all product installation logistics by working with the customer 5. Optimize the customer experience of the delivery, installation, and servicing by always exhibiting the utmost professionalism in all aspects of customer service 6. Use of a web-based software module in documenting, detailing, and completing installation and service repair projects Additional Responsibilities General tasks supporting Field Service, Operations and Product Development teams Qualifications High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) - associate degree preferable Excellent communication skills 100% customer focused Demonstrated experience in a technical, mechanical hands-on environment Demonstrated experience in a customer service role Demonstrated experience in a self-sufficient role (e.g. on the road by themselves) No significant driving infractions Willingness to travel
