Job Description:
We are seeking an Assistant Equipment Technician to support the Equipment Engineering team in a manufacturing environment. This entry-level, hands-on role is responsible for performing basic equipment inspections, routine preventive maintenance, equipment upkeep, and assisting with troubleshooting activities. The successful candidate will work under the direction of senior technicians and engineers to help maintain equipment reliability, efficiency, and smooth production operations.
Responsibilities:
Support routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities under the direction of senior technicians or engineers. Monitor equipment during assigned shifts and report alarms, unusual conditions, and operating irregularities. Assist with basic troubleshooting, cleaning, component replacement, equipment setup, adjustments, and calibration tasks. Maintain accurate records of equipment checks, minor repairs, shift observations, and pending maintenance activities. Support production teams with equipment-related needs to help maintain consistent manufacturing operations. Participate in shift handovers and communicate equipment status, observations, and outstanding tasks. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and established maintenance standards. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and workflow efficiency. Work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, or rotating shifts as required by production needs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred. 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing or technical support; relevant internships or school-based technical experience may be considered. Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with an interest in developing advanced troubleshooting and repair skills. Familiarity with manufacturing environments, industrial tools, or production equipment preferred. Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and perform hands-on technical tasks safely and efficiently. Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn maintenance management software. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Compensation:
The pay offered to a successful candidate will be determined by various factors, including education, work experience, location, job responsibilities, certifications, and more. Additionally, Leon Brother provides a comprehensive benefits package, all subject to eligibility.
