Come Join The Turd Bandits Team! Dog Waste Removal Technician - Part-Time / Year-Round Howard, Cass, Miami, Grant, and Tipton counties in Indiana Love dogs? Like being outdoors? Prefer working independently instead of being stuck inside all day? We might have the perfect job for you! The Turd Bandits Pet Waste Disposal Service has been keeping local yards clean and dog owners happy since 2022, and we're looking for a few dependable, hardworking people to join our crew! We're a locally owned small business with a great reputation in our community. Our technicians spend their days outdoors, working independently, getting plenty of fresh air and exercise, meeting some pretty great dogs along the way — and yes, scooping poop!

THE DETAILS

$15-$20+ per hour, depending on workload and efficiency Permanent, part-time, year-round work Consistent routes and customers Work independently — no one looking over your shoulder all day Great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active 1099 Independent Contractor position — NOT a W-2 employee position As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, vehicle, insurance and necessary equipment. Please familiarize yourself with what being a 1099 independent contractor means before applying.

WHAT DOES A DAY LOOK LIKE?

You'll drive a scheduled route of customers throughout the service areas, cleaning dog waste from each customer's yard. You'll spend your day outdoors, walking yards, staying active and working independently at your own pace while keeping your route on schedule. And one of the best perks? You'll get to meet plenty of great dogs along the way! It's definitely a physical job, but if you enjoy being outside, staying active and working on your own instead of being stuck behind a desk, it's a pretty great way to spend your workday! We work outdoors year-round, but we do not work in severe weather.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

You must: Have your own reliable vehicle Have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance Live in the service area, preferably within approximately 10-12 miles of the Kokomo area Have experience with dogs Have good vision and cannot be colorblind Be physically able to walk multiple yards and carry equipment/waste throughout the day Be comfortable working independently This is a LOCAL position. Applications from outside Indiana or well outside our service area will not be considered.

WHO TENDS TO LOVE THIS TYPE OF WORK?

This can be a great fit for semi-retired or retired individuals, empty nesters, veterans, pet sitters, dog walkers, vet or kennel technicians, stable/equine workers, or anyone looking for steady part-time work without being stuck behind a desk. You don't need to fit into one of those categories, though. If you're reliable, active, like working independently and LOVE DOGS, we'd love to hear from you!
