Onsite Job Description Field Services Technician

Pay Rate:

$21.00-22.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00

PM Additional Hours:

Overtime and after-hours work may be required

On-Call after training

Position Type:

Contract-to-Hire Position Overview We are seeking a customer-focused Field Services Technician to provide technical support throughout the McCordsville, IN area. This position will troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair POS systems, printers, computer hardware, networking equipment, and related technology at customer locations. This is a field-based position requiring regular travel. Technicians may drive approximately 0-150 miles per day depending on service needs. Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair POS systems, printers, computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment.

Diagnose and complete printer repairs, including warranty and non-warranty service.

Perform hardware/software upgrades and equipment replacements.

Complete light installation work, including drilling, mounting equipment, running cabling, and network cable termination.

Travel to customer locations and independently complete assigned service calls.

Document completed work and maintain accurate service records.

Order and replace equipment or parts as needed.

Train customers on the proper use of supported equipment.

Provide friendly, professional customer service while clearly communicating technical issues and solutions.

Participate in overtime, after-hours work, and an on-call rotation as needed. Requirements Drug and Background screening 1-2 years of related technical experience.

Strong customer service/people skills.

Printer troubleshooting and repair skills.

Experience with POS systems, computers, hardware, or related technology preferred.

Basic networking and cabling knowledge.

Comfortable using tools and performing light installation work.

Ability to troubleshoot and work independently.

Reliable transportation and willingness to drive up to approximately 150 miles per day.

A+ Certification preferred.

Ability to complete required account-specific and network cable termination training. Benefits (employee contribution):
