We're Looking for a Leader in the Field, Not a Project Manager. Blue Valley Restoration is looking for an experienced Lead Mitigation Technician to help lead our field operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems, and taking ownership of every project. This is not a project manager position. You'll be responsible for leading technicians on-site, performing mitigation work, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll have the support of project managers, allowing you to focus on executing the work and leading your crew. Responsibilities Lead water damage mitigation projects from start to finish Direct and support restoration technicians on job sites Perform water extraction, demolition, structural drying, and equipment setup Set up and monitor drying equipment Take moisture readings and document drying progress Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters Complete job documentation, photos, and daily notes Train and mentor newer technicians Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response Performance Expectations Lead crews that consistently meet production and quality standards Keep technicians productive and jobs moving efficiently Deliver projects that meet Blue Valley Restoration's quality expectations Complete documentation accurately and on time Take ownership of each project from initial response through completion Represent the company professionally with every customer Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications 3+ years of water damage mitigation or restoration experience preferred Previous experience leading crews or supervising technicians Experience with water extraction, demolition, structural drying, and moisture mapping IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 75 pounds Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined spaces Strong communication and leadership skills Dependable with excellent attendance Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: IICRC WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT certifications Moisture meters and thermal imaging equipment Drying equipment setup and monitoring Xactimate Insurance restoration Emergency mitigation services Crew leadership Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company vehicle during work hours (when applicable) Paid holidays Paid time off Company uniforms Ongoing training and paid certifications Opportunities for advancement within a growing company The Ideal Candidate You're the type of person who naturally steps up and leads by example.
