Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in outdoor, physically demanding environments Exhibit professionalism with excellent time management skills, demonstrating the ability to work independently and responsibly Experience working in a water treatment plant or water distribution utility is a plus Experience in operating heave equipment is a plus Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water distribution, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires physically demanding work in all types of weather. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that water meters, service lines, pumps, and tanks are working properly and make repairs when needed. Field Technicians are required to complete daily work orders and use a tablet document completed tasks with descriptive wording. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water meters/taps. Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers regarding their equipment needs. Accurately record meter readings and pressure gauge data during service visits and promptly complete work orders. Immediately report any maintenance or technical issues observed during service visits to the appropriate channels Capture photographs of equipment for documentation purposes, contributing to visual records of service visits Undertake miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the overall operations and customer satisfaction Skills Familiarity with field service operations and water maintenance practices. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
