Job Description
- Field Services Technician
- to provide desktop and end-user support within a state government environment in Eastern Kentucky.
- Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users in a Windows-based environment.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows 11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including break/fix support.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support.
- Respond to user requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Document support activities, resolutions, and technical issues as required.
- Maintain a high level of customer service while supporting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Travel to supported locations as needed to provide hands-on technical assistance.
- Lift and transport computer equipment and work in various environments as required. Required Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of desktop support experience in a professional environment.
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop hardware and software.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 11.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting users in an enterprise environment.
- Experience providing field services or onsite technical support.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop effective technical solutions.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills. Work Environment
