Job Description
- Become factory and field-trained on relevant equipment and processes in order to provide excellent technical support and field service to customers and fellow employees.
- Provide technical guidance, pre-sale application analysis, product specification, and customer demonstrations for "heavy & highway" applications.
- Provide back-up / front-line support for the field installation team as needed.
- Develop and deliver after-sale support and troubleshooting capabilities for customers and fellow SITECH Mid-South associates via phone, e-mail and face-to-face as needed.
- Provide timely follow-up and resolution to customers, remain current on open projects and keep work backlog to a minimum.
- Provide customer fee based site field solutions as required.
- In conjunction with SITECH Mid-South management and Sales, assist in the development of system configurations and proposals to be presented for potential sales in the region.
- Work with SITECH Mid-South management & service technicians and Trimble personnel in the field as warranted for purposes of support, service and sales development.
- Work with local Caterpillar dealers and other OEM's to provide support as requested.
- Deliver operator / user training services for new-sale 3D machine control customers in the designated territory as agreed upon in customer sales orders. Also deliver fee-based (paid) training on the customer site and/or in a classroom setting for 3D machine control applications, construction layout software, and related topics.
- Work with Trimble Technical Support as needed for prompt, accurate resolution of unique or complex issues.
- Manage required service and support-related information, forms and paperwork; to include manufacturer warranty field repairs as directed by management and/or in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized customer contact records. Provide timely and complete activity reports to management as requested.
