About Us New England Vending Services keeps schools and workplaces across western Massachusetts stocked with snacks, drinks and fresh food. We're a small, owner operated team based in Agawam that's adding accounts, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. The Role This is a hands on route role for someone with a mechanical mind. You'll build product kits for our primary driver, stock machines, cover backup driving, and handle basic troubleshooting on site from the start. Within your first weeks you'll take over a few routes as your own, and your route and hours grow as we add accounts. We'll add vending machine repair training on top of the skills you already bring. What Your Week Looks Like Building product kits at our Agawam hub so the next day's routes are ready to go Stocking and servicing machines at school and business locations Owning a set of locations and keeping them running well Diagnosing jams, payment issues and equipment problems on site Backup driving when the team needs coverage Working closely with our field operations lead and our admin team, who handle scheduling, inventory and the back end A typical week is two daytime shifts on the road plus two short evening kitting sessions after 5pm. You pick the time that works for you in the evening, as long as the kits are ready for the next day Who Does Well Here This role fits someone who enjoys figuring things out. When a machine jams or something unexpected comes up, you get curious and start troubleshooting. Requirements A mechanical mind with real hands on experience (cars, electronics, appliances, or anything you've taken apart and put back together) Proven ability to troubleshoot problems independently Able to lift 50 lbs regularly Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, free of DUIs, speeding tickets and major accidents. Safe driving is essential to this role, and a background check is part of our hiring process Available for two short evening kitting sessions per week after 5pm, done on your own timing as long as everything is ready for the next day Predictable, a strong communicator and a good teammate. You'll coordinate daily with field operations and admin, so showing up when you say you will and keeping everyone updated matters a lot Big Pluses HVAC, refrigeration or electrical experience Experience with vending, coin or card payment systems Your own SUV or truck Pay and Hours $17 to $20 per hour, based on experience 15 to 30 hours per week, starting on the lower end and growing as routes are added Flexible on which days, as long as we settle on a steady weekly routine together Formal review at six weeks with the opportunity for a raise
