00/hr Job Description Looking for a rewarding field-based role where you deliver customer success and still make it home every night? Join us as a startup technician! The Startup Field Technician is responsible for performing system startups and first warranty evaluations on all company products. This role ensures that equipment is installed and operating correctly while delivering excellent customer service and promoting the business. The technician will work independently in the field, handling customer interactions and ensuring timely, professional work. Job Responsibilities Perform equipment startups in accordance with project specifications and company standards. Act as the main point of contact for customers during startup, addressing any questions or concerns. Follow the defined scope of work, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. Complete and submit required documentation (paperwork, photos, timesheets) on the same day as the service. Promote additional service work and preventive maintenance during customer interactions. Adhere to safety protocols, using proper safety equipment and ensuring the job site is left clean and hazard-free. Continuously improve skills through professional development and training opportunities. Required Qualifications Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without direct supervision. Strong technical knowledge of system startups, software, and mobile applications. Ability to resolve issues and make decisions quickly in the field. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Punctual and organized with attention to detail in submitting accurate documentation on time. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to work safely in all environments. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a field technician or similar role. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to promote and sell preventive maintenance and additional service work to customers. Familiarity with startup documentation and customer service score metrics. Experience working with a variety of mechanical or electrical systems.   • 8 years: Experience in fire sprinkler, fire alarm, municipal controls, or pump service/testing 3
  • 8 years: Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, or field diagnostics 3
  • 8 years: Experience with electrical controls, VFDs, control panels, building automation systems (BAS), or system integration 3
  • 8 years: Experience working with pumps, mechanical systems, or water systems; fire pumps, booster pumps, or municipal pumping equipment 3
  • 8 years: Experience in field service, mechanical service, controls, plumbing, fire protection, or a related technical field.
