Disaster Recovery Technician $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience

+ Paid IICRC Certification and Advancement Opportunities This is a full-time, hands-on field position in the property damage restoration industry. Our teams help property owners recover from emergencies like fires, floods, and storms. We offer on-the-job training, making it an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career.

Emergency Response:

Promptly respond to property-damaging events, prioritizing safety, structural preservation, and customer care.

Damage Assessment:

Survey damage, conduct moisture inspections, and thoroughly record and evaluate the condition of the property and its contents.

Personal Property & Contents:

Inventory, photograph, pack, transport, clean, and restore customers' personal belongings, including furniture, clothing, textiles, and other household contents. Handle all items with care and follow established procedures and industry standards throughout the packing, cleaning, restoration, and return process.

Mitigation & Repairs:

Set up specialized drying equipment, perform demolition of damaged structural components using hand or power tools, and apply water mitigation and mold remediation techniques.

Documentation:

Use software or operating systems (like DASH and Contents Tracker) to record data, take photographs of the job site, and manage daily job notes.

Customer Service:

Interact directly with affected homeowners, answering questions and ensuring they feel supported during a stressful time. Paid IICRC certification available Competency -

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer) Customer Service Skills Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, Moisture Mapper, and additional systems as requested Ability to create documents Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face Ability to work independently and / or with a team Ability to participate in an on-call schedule Ability to work within hazardous environments safely Ability to operate a company vehicle safely Maintain a level of confidentiality

Preferred Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Customer Service experience 1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling Physical Requirement Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces Occasionally requires a ladder to complete jobs Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face Frequently will lift up to 60lbs Ability to safely operate a company vehicle Reasonable Accommodation for
