Do you like figuring out how things work—and fixing them when they don't? Cryo Associates is looking for two mechanically minded Field Service Technicians to join our growing team. For more than 40 years, Cryo Associates has provided specialized equipment and service to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, biomedical and research industries. Our technicians work directly with customers to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain specialized cryogenic equipment and freezers. You don't need to know cryogenic equipment when you walk in the door. We'll train you. We're looking for people who have a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience repairing equipment, diagnosing problems or working with mechanical systems. If you're the type of person who enjoys figuring out what's wrong and finding a way to fix it, we'd like to meet you. What You'll Do As a Field Service Technician, you'll: Travel to customer sites to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment Perform preventive maintenance and service on cryogenic systems and freezers Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine the best course of action Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance Complete paid training on Cryo Associates' specialized equipment and vendor products Work independently as well as alongside experienced technicians Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and suppliers Complete daily service tickets, maintenance reports, time sheets and other customer documentation Maintain and care for your company service vehicle Follow all company and customer safety procedures Represent Cryo Associates professionally at customer locations Every day is a little different. You'll work with different customers, equipment and problems—and you'll develop valuable technical skills along the way. What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to problem solving Previous experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting or diagnosis Ability to use basic hand and power tools Good communication and customer service skills Ability to complete paperwork and service documentation accurately Valid driver's license and safe driving record High school diploma, GED or vocational/technical training Ability to work independently after training Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders Ability to work Monday-Friday, with occasional evening/weekend overtime when needed Ability to travel out of state occasionally Ability to pass customer-required background and drug screening for access to certain sites Experience That Will Make You Stand Out You don't need all of these. Experience in any of the following is a plus: HVAC or refrigeration Automotive or diesel repair Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical repair Electrical troubleshooting Plumbing Pipefitting Construction or mechanical construction Equipment installation Facilities maintenance Manufacturing/industrial maintenance OSHA-10 or other safety training Military mechanical or equipment experience Cryogenic experience is NOT required. We provide paid, on-the-job training. Pay:
