Water Mitigation Technician RestoPros of Central Maryland $22-$26/hour based on experience Approximately 30 hours per week | Opportunity to grow into a full-time Production Technician RestoPros of Central Maryland is growing, and we are looking for a dependable Water Mitigation Technician to join our field team. This is initially an approximately 30-hour-per-week position with the opportunity, for the right candidate, to develop into a full-time Production Technician role as our company continues to grow. We are looking for someone who has some real field experience, is comfortable working with their hands, and wants an opportunity to grow within a restoration company rather than remain in an entry-level position. What You'll Do You will work alongside our Mitigation Supervisor and production team on residential and commercial water, mold, sewage, and other property damage projects throughout Central Maryland.
Responsibilities may include:
Water extraction and structural drying Setting up air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying equipment Monitoring moisture levels and drying progress Selective demolition and removal of affected building materials Setting containment Cleaning and antimicrobial applications Loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintaining equipment Taking jobsite photographs and completing basic project documentation Maintaining clean and organized jobsites Communicating professionally with homeowners and property managers Assisting with emergency mitigation projects when needed As you develop, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and eventually manage portions of projects independently. What We're Looking For Previous experience in water mitigation, restoration, mold remediation, construction, demolition, maintenance, or another hands-on trade is strongly preferred.
IICRC WRT
certification is a plus, but it is not required. Additional IICRC or restoration certifications are also a plus. For the right candidate, paid training and industry certification opportunities may be provided. More important than certifications alone, we are looking for someone who: Is dependable and shows up when scheduled Is responsive when called for after hours emergency dispatch Works hard without needing constant supervision Takes pride in doing quality work Is comfortable working inside customers' homes and businesses Communicates professionally Can follow instructions and established procedures Wants to learn the restoration industry Is interested in taking on more responsibility over time Can handle the physical demands of restoration work Can lift approximately 50-75 lbs Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Is comfortable driving company vehicles Can be flexible when emergency work occurs Schedule This position is expected to average approximately 30 hours per week . Because restoration is an emergency-service business, schedules can vary depending on workload and customer needs. Some early mornings, evenings, weekends, or emergency response work may occasionally be necessary. Candidates must have reasonable flexibility. For the right person, there is an opportunity to transition into a full-time Production Technician position as workload, performance, and responsibility increase. Compensation $22-$26/hour , depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability. Candidates with meaningful restoration experience, existing IICRC certifications, or the ability to operate with limited supervision may qualify toward the higher end of the range.
