TECHNICIAN, Job Description

  • 45/hour HERCO is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain capital equipment used in the high-pressure die casting (HPDC) industry.
This role involves working both at our Auburn Hills facility and at customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Travel, including occasional weekends and overnights, is required. Key Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. Mechanical
  • build machinery using hydraulic, pneumatic components. Electrical
  • read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Perform diagnostics using testing equipment and document service activities. Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently at customer facilities. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED or trade school education. 3+ years of industrial machinery installation, maintenance, or repair experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, power tools, and industrial equipment. Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams. Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight domestic and Canada without restrictions. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment screenings required for the position, including motor vehicle record review and other legally permissible background checks. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Journeyman/Master Electrician certification or apprenticeship training. Experience in HVAC, millwright, ironworker, robotics, or capital equipment service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation. What HERCO Offers $35
