The technician provides both onsite and remote support to customers, with regular travel required for installations, repairs, training, and service calls.
Schedule:
Full-time, remote-based with up to 60% travel to customer facilities for installations, repairs, training, and service calls.
Compensation:
$80,000 to $120,000 per year. What You'll Do The technician installs, configures, maintains, and repairs CNC machine tools and automation systems for customers, providing both onsite and remote technical support. Work includes diagnosing mechanical, electrical, software, hardware, and basic networking issues, and troubleshooting CNC controls, machine control computers, monitoring systems, and related components. The role also involves replacing computer components, completing system configurations and repairs, and assisting customers with machine operation and general technical questions. The technician documents service activities, repairs, findings, and recommended follow-up actions after each visit, and escalates complex machine issues to engineering and technical support teams when needed. Travel to customer facilities for installations, repairs, training, and service calls is required up to 60% of the time. Required Qualifications Field service or technical support experience with CNC machine tools, metal-cutting equipment, or industrial automation Strong mechanical, electrical, computer hardware, and software troubleshooting skills Experience with CNC controls, machine control computers, or industrial monitoring systems Ability to replace computer components, configure systems, and provide basic networking support Technical education or certification in CNC machining, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, information technology, or a related field Ability to work independently, prioritize service needs, and maintain accurate documentation Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness and ability to travel to customer facilities up to 60% of the time Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing or CNC machining experience Experience supporting CNC milling, grinding, or measuring equipment specifically Prior experience in a field service or customer-facing technical support role Compensation and Benefits $80,000 to $120,000 per year Medical and dental coverage for employees and spouses after 30 days Company-paid life insurance Voluntary life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage 401(k) with employer match To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
