Job Description:
Jobsquad is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for a leading manufacturer of automated equipment serving the commercial baking industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC experience who enjoys traveling to customer locations, troubleshooting complex equipment, and providing high-quality technical support.
Responsibilities:
1. Install and commission industrial equipment at customer locations, including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, startup, and troubleshooting. 2. Install retrofit kits, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment. 3. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system issues. 4. Connect to PLC systems and make program changes as directed. 5. Read and troubleshoot ladder logic. 6. Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. 7. Work directly with customers and internal teams to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. 8. Identify customer concerns and implement effective solutions. 9. Continuously develop mechanical, electrical, automation, and product knowledge. 10. Work independently with minimal supervision. 11. Provide flexible coverage in a 24/7 service environment. 12. Travel extensively, including overnight travel and occasional international travel.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2 years of field-service travel experience. 2. At least 2 years of experience with industrial machinery, including: 1. Mechanical systems 2. Electrical systems 3. Pneumatics 4. Machine wiring 5. PLCs and controls 3. Experience reading and troubleshooting ladder logic. 4. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. 5. Excellent problem-solving and logical-thinking skills. 6. Strong customer-service skills. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 8. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. 9. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. 10. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with customers and internal departments. 11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 12. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. 13. Must provide your own hand tools. 14. Must have a clean driving record and be able to rent a vehicle. 15. Must be physically capable of bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in various positions. 16. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings.
