Field Service Representative Azon is a world leader in technology used in the manufacture of thermally efficient aluminum window, storefront, curtain wall and specialty chemical products. Azon is headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan with operations in the United States, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Field Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of Azon custom machinery used in the processing of Azon polyurethane chemicals. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs. In addition, our Field Service Technicians perform quality assurance audits; visiting customer locations quarterly to review production procedures, provide machinery maintenance, and to ensure established quality protocols are being followed. Our technicians receive extensive hands-on training, from an established service manager, on the safe operation of all Azon machinery. Duties and Responsibilities Install new machinery at customer facilities worldwide Maintain and troubleshoot all aspects of Azon machinery including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Train customer machine operators and technicians on machinery setup, operation, preventative maintenance, repair, and safety Conduct quality audit visits for North American customer locations on a quarterly basis Complete and submit field reports that detail the visit and work completed Communicate accurately and professionally with customers regarding all machinery and chemical related issues and questions Inform customers of Azon products and services that may improve their operating efficiency When not in the field, technician will assist with assembling and testing new machinery Regularly deliver over-the-phone technical support to customers Provide parts quotes to customers Maintain all required expense and travel reports Education, Skills and Experience Technical degree or 5 years installing and maintaining machinery preferred Travel requirements of 50% within the U.S. and Canada International travel may be required 1-2 times a year Maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50-75 pounds Mechanical inspection and diagnostics experience Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting Quality and customer service focus Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints Logical thinking, problem solving and trouble shooting skills Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Perform work in a safety conscious manner Computer skills including Microsoft Office We offer competitive wages, and an excellent benefit package including family medical benefits, dental, life, long-term and short-term disability, 401(k) and ESOP.
