This position serves as a field technician, coverage resource, trainer, and quality-control lead. The Field Performance Manager regularly performs cleaning services, fills open shifts and call-offs, completes account inspections, supports employee performance, and responds to urgent coverage needs. This is not primarily an office or administrative position. The right person must be willing and able to work alongside the team, step into any account when needed, and help ensure our clients receive reliable, consistent service. Primary ResponsibilitiesField Cleaning and Coverage Perform commercial cleaning services at client facilities. Serve as the company's primary coverage resource for call-offs, vacancies, vacations, and scheduling gaps. Learn the cleaning scope, procedures, alarm instructions, and expectations for each assigned account. Respond to urgent or same-day coverage needs when scheduled or on call. Assist with new account launches, deep cleans, special projects, and event cleaning. Work independently while following all account-specific checklists and security procedures. Quality Control Complete routine and unannounced quality inspections at client locations. Identify missed tasks, recurring concerns, supply issues, and training needs. Correct minor cleaning issues during inspections whenever possible. Document inspection results clearly and submit photos or reports as required. Follow up with employees after quality concerns and verify that corrections have been made. Help maintain consistent cleaning standards from an employee's first week through long-term placement. Employee Training and Support Train new employees at assigned accounts using Maid To Clean procedures and checklists. Demonstrate proper cleaning methods, equipment use, chemical safety, and time management. Provide respectful, direct coaching when expectations are not being met. Conduct retraining when quality concerns or repeated missed tasks occur. Help employees understand the complete scope of work for their assigned buildings. Report attendance, performance, conduct, or reliability concerns to company leadership. Support employees in the field without taking over their ongoing responsibilities. Account and Operational Support Communicate account issues, maintenance concerns, security problems, and client requests promptly. Monitor onsite supply levels and report needed inventory before products run out. Confirm that company equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored. Help deliver supplies and equipment when necessary. Assist with transitions when employees are reassigned or accounts require staffing changes. Protect client confidentiality, keys, alarm codes, and building access information. Maintain accurate timekeeping, inspection records, and required documentation. On-Call Expectations The Field Performance Manager participates in a rotating or assigned on-call schedule. On-call responsibility may include responding to employee call-offs, providing emergency coverage, addressing urgent client concerns, or helping coordinate a solution. On-call availability does not mean working every open shift automatically, but it does require: Being reachable during assigned on-call periods. Responding within the company's required timeframe. Being prepared to report to an account when coverage cannot be resolved another way. Communicating quickly and clearly about the situation and resolution. Maintaining reliable transportation and reasonable availability for evening or weekend needs. Qualifications Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred. Leadership, training, or quality-control experience preferred. Dependable, accountable, and comfortable working independently. Able to give clear, respectful, and direct feedback. Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize quality concerns. Able to adjust priorities when staffing or client needs change. Comfortable working evenings, early mornings, and occasional weekends. Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required. Able to use a smartphone for communication, schedules, photos, checklists, and timekeeping. Must successfully complete all required background and employment screenings. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to safely operate vacuums, floor-care equipment, carts, and other janitorial tools. Ability to travel between multiple client locations during a shift. What Success Looks Like The Field Performance Manager is successful when: Client buildings consistently meet Maid To Clean's quality standards. Open shifts and call-offs are handled quickly and reliably. New employees are properly trained before working independently. Quality concerns are identified and corrected before they become repeated client complaints. Employees receive clear direction, follow-up, and accountability. Supplies, equipment, and building-access issues are reported proactively. Leadership receives accurate, timely information from the field. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate does not wait to be told about every small issue. They notice what needs attention, communicate clearly, and take responsible action within their authority. They understand that leadership in this position means being willing to do the work, support the team, maintain standards, and help create stability across Maid To Clean's accounts. Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule based on operational needs. Most work will take place during evening cleaning hours, with some daytime inspections, training, early-morning coverage, weekend work, and scheduled on-call availability. The weekly schedule may change based on employee absences, account needs, new-client launches, and special projects. Core Expectations Show up when scheduled and arrive prepared. Maintain professional communication with employees, clients, and leadership. Follow through without requiring repeated reminders. Treat employees respectfully while holding firm quality standards. Protect confidential client and company information. Never leave an account uncovered or a serious issue unreported. Represent Maid To Clean with integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
