Restoration Technician SERVPRO is seeking a dependable, hardworking Restoration Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in helping customers recover from residential and commercial water, fire, mold, and other property damage. Restoration Technicians work alongside and under the direction of Restoration Supervisors to perform the hands-on work necessary to clean, restore, and protect damaged properties. Responsibilities Work under the direction of Restoration Supervisors to complete residential and commercial restoration projects. Perform water extraction, controlled demolition, cleaning, drying, contents handling, and other restoration activities as directed. Assist with the setup, monitoring, movement, and removal of drying and restoration equipment. Assist with loading, unloading, mobilization, and demobilization of equipment and materials. Follow assigned scopes of work and direction provided by Restoration Supervisors. Assist with jobsite photos, documentation, moisture readings, equipment records, and other required job information as directed. Properly use and care for company equipment, tools, materials, and vehicles. Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsites. Follow SERVPRO procedures, company policies, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards. Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Immediately communicate additional damage, safety concerns, equipment issues, or other jobsite concerns to the Restoration Supervisor. Follow proper procedures for handling customer contents and protecting unaffected areas of the property. Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment, vehicles, and the warehouse as needed. Work efficiently as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and meet company quality standards. Participate in the company's on-call rotation and respond to emergency restoration projects when scheduled. Qualifications Restoration, construction, mitigation, cleaning, or other hands-on work experience is preferred but not required. No previous restoration experience is necessary for the right candidate who is dependable and willing to learn. Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and job documentation software. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving restoration equipment and materials. Ability to work in environments commonly encountered during restoration work, including basements, crawlspaces, attics, and damaged structures. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Dependable attendance and ability to respond to emergency work when scheduled.
