FIELD SERVICE
TECHNICIANRole can be based anywhere in the continental U.S.Must be able to travel travel domestically and internationally
Compensation:
95-105k QPT has engaged in locating an exceptional Field Service Technician to become a part of our client's Capital Equipment Team, a group that combines advanced technology with strong engineering expertise to deliver reliable, high-performance heat-treating solutions. In fact, our client is the largest North American heat treat equipment manufacturer with a customer base includes general manufacturing as well as automotive, both in the U.S. and across the globe.

QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer seasoned field tech with five (5) years of furnace/equipment set up and start up experience.

Must have prior experience with overnight travel for work of at least 50% annuallyTechnical degree is desirable but not mandatoryStrong mechanical aptitude and welding experienceHands on experience performing troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, combustion and piping systemsGood working knowledge of industrial electrical control systemsAble to work well in a team environmentAbility to travel domestically and internationally
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing and supervising the off-loading, placement and assembly of heat treat related equipmentCheck-out of all mechanical, electrical and piping sub-systems, ensuring the overall system and individual components operate safely and as designed per engineering drawings, operating instructions, vendor literature and applicable specificationsProvide directions in resolving non-contractual customer and contractor issuesDocument all problems encountered during the installation and start-up of the equipment and the status / verification of results concerning any field revisionsAssist customer personnel with the initial operation and testing processes performed by the equipmentTrain customer personnel in the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the equipmentProvide frequent reports and checklists, detailing progress, planned dates for major tasks and all open issuesCollect and submit all parameters changed and data obtained during the final commission of the equipmentEmployees are responsible for having their own basic tools. The company will provide specialty tools as neededAbility to travel to customer sites domestically and internationally.
