Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water damage, flood incidents, or fire restoration needs. Perform water extraction using specialized equipment and techniques to remove standing water efficiently. Conduct structural drying using moisture meters and industrial dehumidifiers to prevent mold growth and further damage. Assist with mold remediation tasks, including containment, removal, and cleaning to ensure safe indoor environments. Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and repair work as needed during restoration projects. Apply respiratory protection and follow safety protocols during all phases of restoration work to ensure personal and team safety. Document job progress with Xactimate estimating software and prepare detailed reports for project management. Support cleaning efforts such as carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation to restore property aesthetics. Assist with asbestos abatement or other hazardous material removal when required, following strict safety guidelines. Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to industry standards for safety and cleanliness throughout each project. Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred. Knowledge of water damage restoration processes, including flood response and fire damage cleanup. Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if needed. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, moisture meters, dehumidifiers, and other specialized equipment confidently. Strong understanding of respiratory protection procedures and safety protocols during hazardous work activities. Experience with mold remediation techniques and asbestos abatement procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces for extended periods.
