Job Description

Fire Extinguisher Technician Winona, MN Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our Fire Protection team. In this role, you will inspect, maintain, recharge, repair, and install fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards while providing exceptional customer service. You'll work independently at customer locations, identify service opportunities, and ensure fire protection equipment remains compliant and operational. Responsibilities Inspect, test, maintain, recharge, repair, and install fire extinguishers. Ensure all work complies with NFPA, NAFED, DOT, and company safety standards. Troubleshoot equipment and respond to customer service requests. Educate customers on equipment operation and recommend products or services when appropriate. Complete service reports accurately and maintain required certifications. Work closely with the Fire Protection team to meet customer needs and project deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. NAFED certification required-after 1st 6 months on the job. Fire extinguisher service experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier items with equipment assistance. Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. Travel Requirements Out-of-town travel to service the MWSCO market area. Overnight travel required within service area and for USA training and certification. Why Join Our Team?
