Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Water Utility Worker, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and operating water systems, ensuring the delivery of safe, clean water to our community. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and systems. You will be involved in routine inspections, equipment maintenance, and system troubleshooting, contributing directly to public health and environmental protection. Responsibilities Perform routine water system maintenance and repairs. Repair water leaks, service lines, and meter issues. Install, repair, and maintain water meters. Perform meter checks, inspections, and field service calls. Maintain grounds, including mowing and general property upkeep. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely. Respond to emergency repairs and after-hours/weekend service needs. Assist with line repairs, system improvements, and daily field operations. Maintain accurate work orders and service records. Support reliable operation of the water distribution system. after-hours/weekend emergency response as needed Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance Strong understanding of plumbing systems, construction practices, and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary Excellent analysis skills to troubleshoot system issues efficiently while maintaining safety protocols. Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Prior experience with water treatment processes is highly desirable. Valid driver's license Able to pass background and drug testing
