Field Service Technician 3+ Month Contract - possibilty of an extension Monday through Friday - 40 Hours Overtime possible
Job Summary:
Our client is a global supplier of chemicals for paper manufacturing. They are looking to hire a technician to help support our business at paper mills in Redwood, MS. The type of work will include lab tests, data collection, equipment maintenance, monitoring equipment, equipment installation, and working well with mill personnel (our customer). There will be on the job training and support on all aspects of the job by the local team, and corporate personnel. Our client has a strng safety culture and a key area of training will be on safety.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work in an industrial environment: short term exposure to hot and cold areas, industrial noise wearing ear protection (ear plugs), etc. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Plumbing/mechanical/electrical skills. Knowledge and ability in at least one these areas. On the job training will be conducted with all areas. The chemical programs mostly involve pumping liquids through piping, hosing, and tubing. Experience with plumbing and pumps would be most beneficial. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) is preferred, but can be trained on the job. Inputting data into excel spreadsheet would be most beneficial. Good interpersonal communication skills. Strong troubleshooting skills. There will be team support to help. High safety awareness- Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner. Team player. Working well with others and being respectful of others.

$31.00 per hour
