Free uniforms Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Profit sharing Training & development Restoration 1, a leading company specializing in fire, water, and mold damage restoration, is opening a location in Chapel Hill and seeking a Water Mitigation Technician to join the team. We specialize in restoring properties affected by water damage, whether from floods, storms, plumbing failures or other disasters. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in water damage restoration. Duties Complete restoration projects from start to finish. Perform water damage restoration, including water extraction, demolition, drying, etc. Utilize power tools and hand tools for restoration tasks. Clean and restore damaged areas effectively. Conduct mold remediation procedures. Communicate effectively with customers. Perform basic equipment maintenance. Perform basic vehicle maintenance. Complete appropriate restoration documentation. Skills Proficiency in the restoration industry practices. Experience with power tools and hand tools. Ability to restore and clean various surfaces. Strong background in water damage restoration. Ability to communicate with customers. Decision Rights and Authority Determine the sequence of steps to be taken when delivering the company's services at the customer's property. Qualifications 1+ years industry related experience, specifically restoration, required. IICRC certification for Water Restoration Technician (WRT) preferred. Familiarity with chemical products including use, disposal, and Safety Data Sheets. Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices. Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Restoration 1's vehicle policy. Ability to work within a team or independently as needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and/or Tablet / iPad experience. Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested. Periodic travel may be required. Criminal Records Check. Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time). Occasional lifting from 41+ lbs, assisted (up to 50% of the time). Access and mobility in tight spaces. Fit Testing - half and full-face mask as needed; annual certification required. Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically.
