Water Restoration Technician Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Water Restoration Technician, where your energy and dedication will help restore homes and businesses affected by water damage, flooding, fire, mold, and other disasters. In this vital role, you will respond swiftly to emergency situations, assess damage, and execute comprehensive restoration services. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will ensure efficient recovery efforts while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, flood, fire, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating emergency response readiness. Perform water extraction, flood cleanup, mold remediation, and fire damage restoration using specialized equipment and techniques. Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to reach job sites promptly while adhering to all safety protocols. Utilize hand tools, power tools, Xactimate (estimating software), and other restoration industry equipment to complete projects effectively. Conduct cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning and debris removal while ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Assist with construction-related repairs or demolition as needed during restoration projects. Follow strict safety procedures including PPE use, respiratory protection, asbestos abatement protocols (if applicable), and adherence to OSHA standards. Communicate professionally with clients to explain services performed and provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including photos, reports, and logs for each job site. Experience Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Knowledge of water damage restoration processes, flood cleanup techniques, mold remediation practices, and fire restoration is a plus. Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software enhances your ability to accurately assess damages and costs. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration tools is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols diligently and operate company vehicles responsibly is essential. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude help foster client trust during stressful situations. $18.00 - $300.00 per hour
