Field Service Technician Kingstown, NC $34-$43/hour + Overtime Automation & Robotics Company We are recruiting a hands-on Startup Engineer / Service Technician for an OEM specializing in aircraft manufacturing automation and robotics. This role focuses on machine commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation systems, with significant hands-on work and travel. What You'll Do Commission and start up new automation equipment and systems. Troubleshoot electrical, controls, mechanical, and automation issues. Support machine downtime, preventative maintenance, and repairs. Work with robotics, CNC equipment, motion control, and automated machinery. Troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, HMI, sensors, and electromechanical systems . Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints. Perform wiring, cabling, and electrical troubleshooting. Support new machine installations and construction. Maintain service logs and technical documentation. Travel to customer and company sites for commissioning and technical support. What We're Looking For 3+ years of industrial automation, machine maintenance, controls, or related experience. Siemens PLC experience preferred. Allen-Bradley PLC experience also considered. Automated machinery or machine tool troubleshooting experience. Electrical troubleshooting and wiring experience. Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints. Experience with CNC, robotics, motion control, or electromechanical systems preferred. Preventative maintenance and hands-on machine troubleshooting experience. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Important Details Travel:

Be available for travel to other company sites. Travel may include customer sites and other company locations. International training in Germany may be available during the first year, typically 4-8 weeks. Company handles travel arrangements and provides per diem. Overtime available as experience and independence increase. Shift flexibility required; weekend work may be required depending on assignment. Candidates from automotive, medical, food, manufacturing, and other industrial environments will be considered. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience are not required. Less-experienced candidates with a strong technical foundation may be considered.
