Job Description

Join the Heritage Home Service team as a Generator Service Technician at our Auburn, NH location Heritage is a trusted provider of standby generator services, specializing in installation, maintenance, and repair of backup power systems. As demand grows, we're looking for a reliable, experienced Generator Service Technician to join our team. If you're mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and ready to grow with a company that values your skills, we want to hear from you! In this field-based role, you'll service and maintain primarily Generac standby generators. From routine maintenance to troubleshooting and repairs, you'll work directly with homeowners to ensure their backup power systems run smoothly and safely. While Generac certification is preferred , we will provide training and certification for the right candidate.
What You'll Do:
Service, troubleshoot, and repair standby generators Perform scheduled preventative maintenance Accurately diagnose and communicate any necessary repairs or part replacements Use company-provided tablet to log service details and customer interactions Provide clear, courteous communication with customers Maintain a stocked, clean company vehicle Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times
What You'll Bring:
2+ years of experience in generator service preferred Generac certification preferred (or willingness to become certified—training provided) Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Comfortable working independently and communicating directly with customers Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (minimum of 50 pounds) Willingness to work flexible hours Professional appearance and customer-first attitude
