Job Description
As the premiere Raymond Solutions & Service Center in the Northeast, Pengate Handling Systems built a reputation based on cutting-edge innovation, quality products and outstanding service. In addition to the full line of Raymond forklifts and equipment, we offer comprehensive material handling solutions to take your day-to-day warehousing and distribution operations to a new level of performance and productivity. We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and making a direct impact on customer operations every day. In this role, you'll diagnose and repair material handling equipment at customer sites, communicate directly with customers, and keep their equipment running safely and efficiently. Care about doing work the right way — not the fastest way What You'll Do Serve as a trusted technical resource for our customers and internal teams.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of material handling equipment (basic to advanced repairs).
Perform comprehensive forklift inspections to identify needed repairs and proactive maintenance.
Communicate with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, cost changes, and additional service recommendations.
Work safely and follow all company safety policies and industry's best practices.
Complete accurate, organized service documentation and submit within required timelines.
Maintain and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle, including parts inventory.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional at customer sites.
Represent the company through professional appearance, communication, and customer service. What We're Looking for: Experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, material handling, or related repair fields
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
Effective communication skills (customer and internal)
Ability to work independently in the field
