00 per hour, based on experience About the Position SLAHR is hiring a Printer Field Service Technician to support Wynndalco Enterprises with printer repair and technical services at NYC Department of Education schools throughout the Bronx. This is a hands-on, mobile field service position for an experienced printer technician who can diagnose, repair, configure, and maintain laser printers and multifunction devices in a school environment. This is not a single-location position. Daily travel between multiple school sites and the NYC warehouse is required. Important Pre-Employment Requirements All candidates must successfully complete required pre-employment screening before beginning the assignment, including: Background check Drug screening Additional screening or clearance required for access to NYC Department of Education locations What You'll Do Travel to Bronx school sites to diagnose and repair laser printers and multifunction devices Repair rollers, fusers, trays, paper-path issues, and image-quality problems Perform component-level replacements and maintenance Configure and troubleshoot networked printing Troubleshoot IP printing, drivers, print queues, and connectivity issues Handle escalated printer service tickets from generalist technicians Advise school staff on printer maintenance and consumables Identify equipment requiring replacement or out-of-scope work Complete accurate same-day service documentation Maintain professional communication with school staff and IT personnel Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on printer repair experience Experience with HP, Lexmark, Brother, Canon, or similar printer equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience replacing fusers, rollers, trays, maintenance kits, and other printer components Working knowledge of TCP/IP printing, drivers, print queues, and network connectivity Experience working with ticketing or work-order systems Ability to travel between Bronx school sites daily Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Strong communication and documentation skills High school diploma or GED Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer printer service certification Experience supporting large printer fleets Experience working in school, enterprise, or public-sector environments Previous field service or technical support experience Employment Information Candidates will be hired through SLAHR and assigned to work with Wynndalco Enterprises.
