ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Non exempt, full-time position As an essential service, we work at least 40 hours per week with a regular work schedule of
Monday- Friday:
with occasional overtime as some after-hour and weekend work is required. The reporting office is located in Brooklyn, NY however our work is also performed in the surrounding areas to include NYCT and LIRR. (NY City Transit and Long Island Railroad) Attention recent graduates from Technical Schools- You are encouraged to apply! Together, let's open the doors to the future. The Field Service Technician represents the equipment manufacturer by interfacing with our customers and provides troubleshooting repair service to our Door Systems (DS) for our varying customers and work product. Your daily tasks will consist of assembling, repairing and retrofitting different parts with small and medium components as well as reporting outcomes to customers . Our products are destined to passenger rail cars. Act as a liaison between Customer's On-Site Representative and FujiSEMEC with regard to any technical matters related to the Door System products. Perform trouble shooting work and provide technical services/support for any events related to the Door System. Prepare and produce Field Service Report in accordance with the Customer's requirements. Perform Field Service Modifications as per Customer's instructions. Provide Training to Client's Technicians.
REQUIREMENTS
Reliability and Punctuality- must adhere to work schedule. Good manual dexterity is required and the ability to lift/push/pull up to #50 pounds. A background in Electro-Mechanical repairs is major asset. Strong Analytical abilities to detect and resolve problems working both independently and with a team approach. Successful candidate will have a teachable spirit and be flexible transitioning from one work product and customer to another. Must be comfortable using Word/Excel programs. Must be able to pass a security clearance- a background check is required due to transit regulations. Must have valid drivers license and have a reliable vehicle that is registered/ insured. Must be able to wear safety toe footware and other required PPE which is designated per customer site work environment. Must maintain professional demeanor and wear appropriate attire condusive to customer-facing environment.
