ServiceMaster by Isler is seeking an experienced Water & Fire Restoration Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for responding to residential and commercial restoration emergencies, assessing damage, performing water and fire mitigation, and helping return properties to a safe and pre-loss condition. The ideal candidate has hands-on restoration experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Respond to water, fire, smoke, mold, and other property-loss emergencies. Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, and deodorization as needed. Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers. Perform fire and smoke cleanup, including content cleaning and odor removal. Assist with demolition and removal of damaged materials. Identify and document damage and communicate job conditions to supervisors. Maintain accurate job documentation, photographs, equipment records, and daily notes. Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance representatives, and other customers. Follow established safety procedures and company standards. Maintain, clean, and properly operate restoration equipment. Work independently as well as part of a team. Respond to emergency calls and participate in an on-call rotation when required. Maintain a professional appearance and represent ServiceMaster by Isler with integrity. Required Qualifications Previous professional experience in water and/or fire restoration is required. Experience with water extraction and structural drying equipment. Knowledge of fire and smoke cleanup procedures. Ability to assess property damage and determine appropriate mitigation steps. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials. Ability to work in crawlspaces, attics, basements, and other challenging environments. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency calls when needed. Strong communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Preferred Qualifications IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, FSRT, or OCT . Experience working with insurance-related restoration claims. Experience using moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, air movers, dehumidifiers, and extraction equipment. Experience with job-management or restoration software. Previous experience with a professional restoration company.
