Job Summary As a Field Service Technician , you'll be at the heart of what we do: diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar machines out in the field. Whether it's a dozer, excavator, wheel loader, or haul truck, you'll use your skills and experience to deliver top-tier service that keeps our customers moving. You will work out of a company service truck servicing and performing: Diagnostics and repair on heavy equipment, including Caterpillar engines and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems. Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuilding components to ensure optimal performance. Additional duties include servicing Air Conditioning systems, maintaining detailed service records, collaborating with fellow technicians on complex repairs, and adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment. Core Competencies Capable of working independently in the field Proficient reading and writing skills Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude Basic computer literacy Familiarity with Caterpillar engine and equipment lines In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment applications, operations, and functions Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician, Service Information System) Expertise in diagnostic, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting procedures Welding experience is a plus Job Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in repairing diesel engines, generators, and industrial equipment. Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record following Ohio CAT standards and have the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card if one is not already possessed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling. Standing and sitting up and downstairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal.
Repetitive Motions:
