Job Description

Job Summary Sooner Scale Inc. is seeking a proactive, self-motivated Service Technician Manager to lead our field operations while remaining active in hands-on service. This working manager role combines team leadership, administrative operations, and direct technical execution. The ideal candidate will take initiative, manage and hold field technicians accountable, oversee our transition to a new service system, and handle financial entries in QuickBooks—all while directly performing scale calibrations, maintenance, and repairs across a full range of equipment, including deli, floor, livestock, and truck scales.
Key Responsibilities Scale Calibration & Maintenance:
Perform hands-on field testing, calibration, maintenance, and emergency repairs on all types of scale equipment, ranging from deli and bench scales to heavy floor, livestock, and truck scales.
Team Leadership & Accountability:
Supervise field technicians, manage work scheduling, enforce safety protocols, and hold the team accountable to high quality and accuracy standards.
Systems & Operations:
Lead the setup, rollout, and ongoing administration of our new field service management system.
Financial Administration:
Update and maintain work orders, billing, and invoicing using QuickBooks. Qualifications Proven experience calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of industrial and commercial scales. Demonstrated leadership ability, strong organizational skills, and a self-starter mindset. Proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity with modern digital management systems/CRMs. Tech-savvy with the ability to assist in launching and adopting new software platforms. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-management abilities. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (including random testing). Preferred Qualifications Experience with stick welding and low-voltage systems. Valid Class B CDL (or willingness to obtain within six months; company assistance program available).
Pay & Advancement Training Rate:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) during the training and onboarding phase through December. Rate increase after training is completed. Position includes annual performance and compensation reviews.
