Field Service Technician -
Electrical & Rotating Equipment Location:
Norman, OK Salary:
$35-$45/hour + Overtime + Bonus + Excellent Benefits INFINITEKis partnering with a leading North American provider of electromechanical and power management services to recruit an experienced Field Service Technician to support industrial customers across Oklahoma. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased field service professional who enjoys solving complex equipment issues, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of projects from installation through commissioning and repair. While the role involves both electrical and mechanical work, our client is particularly interested in candidates with strong VFD and industrial drive experience , as mechanical skills can be further developed through training. What You'll Be Doing Install, commission, troubleshoot and repair industrial rotating equipment Diagnose and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control systems and associated electrical equipment Install and align motors, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating machinery Carry out field inspections, fault finding and root cause analysis Perform laser alignment and precision mechanical assembly Conduct electrical testing using equipment such as Meggers, multimeters and other diagnostic instruments Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical documentation Support shutdowns, emergency breakdowns and planned maintenance activities Deliver outstanding customer service while representing a market-leading engineering organisation Assist in mentoring junior technicians where required What They're Looking For Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial field service, maintenance or rotating equipment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience Hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and industrial motor controls Experience installing and commissioning electric motors Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures Experience with pumps, gearboxes, motors or other rotating equipment Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation Valid driver's licence Willingness to travel throughout the region with overtime and occasional weekend work Desirable Experience Leadership or lead technician experience Motor testing PdMA testing Vibration Analysis (Level I) Precision alignment Industrial shutdown or turnaround experience What's On Offer $35-$45/hour Overtime opportunities Performance bonus 401(k) with employer match Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Tuition Reimbursement Ongoing technical training and career development Opportunity to join a rapidly growing engineering organisation with genuine progression opportunities If you're an electrically focused Field Service Technician looking for your next challenge supporting critical industrial equipment, we'd love to hear from you.
