Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning, drying, and decontamination of fire- and water-damaged properties using specialized equipment and techniques Execute fire restoration processes including soot removal, odor control, and structural cleaning to restore affected areas efficiently Conduct water damage restoration tasks such as water extraction, moisture detection, and drying procedures to prevent mold growth Assist with mold remediation projects by identifying mold presence and safely removing contaminated materials in compliance with industry standards Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction skills to dismantle damaged structures and prepare sites for repairs or reconstruction Support asbestos abatement efforts when necessary by following safety protocols and proper disposal procedures Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and progress updates for each project to ensure quality control and client satisfaction Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques, fire restoration methods, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement is a plus Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration-related machinery Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working with hazardous materials and environmental hazards Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations on-site Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments requiring standing, lifting, bending, and climbing for extended periods Valid driver's license highly preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications such as OSHA safety training or specialized industry licenses Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact communities by restoring safety and comfort.
