- P25 to join a leading wireless communications organization in Greensburg, PA . This role is 100% onsite/local field-based and will support mission-critical P25 public safety radio systems, including systems used by police, fire, EMS, and other critical infrastructure customers. The Field Service Technician II
- P25 will be responsible for advanced installation, troubleshooting, programming, repair, and maintenance of Motorola and other P25 communications equipment. Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician II
- P25 include: Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain P25 public safety radio systems Create and modify mid-level programming codeplugs, including 12+ channels, trunking, and multiple zones Support Motorola Astro 25 systems and related infrastructure Service UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz radio systems, dispatch consoles, repeaters, base stations, and related equipment Troubleshoot and maintain BDA/DAS systems and RF communications infrastructure Diagnose complex RF, digital, audio, electronic, and communications system issues Perform testing using spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, multimeters, and other specialized equipment Interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Support Motorola systems and products such as Quantar, GTR8000, MCC5500/7500, and related Astro 25 technologies Support Motorola MotoTRBO systems, including Capacity Max, Capacity Plus, Connect+, and IP Site Connect Apply knowledge of RF propagation, TCP/IP, NIC programming, battery backup systems, multicouplers, and duplexers Provide hands-on technical support to customers and troubleshoot issues in the field Support regional project work, including travel and occasional overnight assignments Participate in on-call support as required Qualifications of the Field Service Technician II•P25 include: 3+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, programming, repairing, and installing two-way radio or wireless communications systems Strong hands-on experience with P25 public safety radio systems Experience with Motorola Astro 25 and/or related Motorola public safety radio platforms Experience with Motorola products such as Quantar, GTR8000, MCC5500/7500, or comparable systems Experience with MotoTRBO systems such as Capacity Max, Capacity Plus, Connect+, or IP Site Connect Extensive understanding of two-way radio theory, RF propagation, and communications systems Experience with repeaters, base stations, dispatch consoles, multicouplers, duplexers, antennas, and RF infrastructure Experience with BDA/DAS systems is highly desirable Proficiency with RF/electronic test equipment Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams Motorola/P25 certifications and training are required R56 Installer certification and applicable industry certifications are required Valid driver's license Ability to support regional travel, including overnight assignments and on-call work Security clearance or TWIC eligibility is preferred due to potential support of nuclear/critical infrastructure facilities Compensation for the Field Service Technician II•P25 includes:
