Duties Respond promptly to water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, and other disaster sites to assess damage and determine necessary mitigation steps. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to extract water, remove damaged materials, and prepare sites for restoration. Perform cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation to ensure thorough property recovery. Assist with asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety protocols when required. Support construction activities such as demolition, drywall removal, and minor repairs to facilitate restoration processes. Apply industry best practices for mold remediation and water damage restoration to prevent future issues. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and communicate progress effectively with team members and clients. Experience Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques, fire restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, or asbestos abatement is a plus. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction methods is advantageous. Knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures and equipment enhances your versatility on the job site. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously during all mitigation activities.
