Field Service Technician Location:
York, PA $33.00•$38.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 1st Shift | Must be available for periodic on-call rotation, including weekends. Keep It Running, Keep It Rolling. Field Service Technician Needed. Looking for Field Service Technician jobs in York where your technical skills keep equipment operating at its best? This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently. You will travel to customer locations to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor and material handling equipment. You'll perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergency service calls, support shop operations when needed, and help ensure customers' equipment remains operational and productive. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years of field service, maintenance, or service technician experience Experience working on conveyor systems, package handling systems, material handling equipment, or similar industrial machinery Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Experience using hand tools, shop equipment, forklifts, and cranes preferred Basic computer skills for service documentation Job Duties Travel to customer sites throughout Pennsylvania, Jersey, and surrounding areas to troubleshoot, service, and repair conveyor and material handling systems Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to reduce equipment downtime Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions Support shop operations by assisting with equipment preparation and project completion as needed Safely operate hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment Complete service reports and document equipment performance and repair activities Identify and report equipment, parts, or material deficiencies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Respond to on-call and emergency service requests as required Physical Capabilities Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable traveling regularly and responding to emergency service calls Benefits vary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
