This is a "hybrid" position for a cabinet field tech who will also spend time working in the shop as a custom cabinet builder when not working in the field. The ideal candidate for this position would be self-motivated, have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. A company van is provided, so the ideal candidate is required to have a valid drivers license and clean driving record. Field Service Technician -

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Service cabinets by installing doors, drawers & fronts to already constructed cabinets. Adjust doors/drawers to cabinet spec margins as needed. Install cabinet hardware including hinges, cabinet accessories, knobs & pulls. Communicate in a professional manner with clients making sure we leave them satisfied. Communicate clearly with Field Supervisor to complete daily tasks. Operate company vehicles in a safe manner. Perform quality control inspections while on site. Identify and resolve on-site issues in a timely fashion. Provide project status updates to Sales Manager and Field Supervisor. Other duties assigned by supervisor. Cabinet Builder -

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Read CAD Drawing successfully to determine operational methods/product specifications/materials required. Communicate with Production Manager and Shop Foreman daily on tasks and job progress. Verify dimensions from CAD drawings to cut, shape, sand and assemble wooden articles. Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines to cut/shape lumber/sand/fabricate parts for custom cabinets. Evaluate wood to determine color, grain, knots or other features of are compliant with standards and accuracy. Measure dimensions of completed products to verify specifications are accurate and satisfactory to Scandia standards. Other duties assigned by manager/foreman Field Service Technician /

Cabinet Builder Qualifications:

Cabinetry or construction experience (1-2 years required) Experience with Hand or Power Tools (1-2 years required) High quality customer service Willingness to learn and be a team player. Time management to multi-task and meet deadlines. Professionally communicative both verbally and electronically. Knowledge of wood species Basic math skills and ability to read tape measure Must be able to stand for periods of time and lift up to 50lbs Clean driving record and valid driver's license required Ability to operate a computer/smart phone/iPad/required business apps

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The duties for this job will primarily be working independently at construction sites, both finished and unfinished. You will also be exposed to a shop environment when not working in the field. The duties of this position require you to stand for periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay:

$20 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience) Quarterly (Performance Based)
