    The Equipment Mechanic Field Service Technician (Connected Fleet) is a dedicated project-based role and supports the project's machine control and telematics operations, training activities, equipment readiness, and technology implementation efforts. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct project support for in-field troubleshooting of 2D & 3D
GNSS & UTS
Machine Control and telematics equipment.
  • Support installation, configuration, and maintenance activities for machine control and telematics systems.
  • Maintain the currency of firmware, software, and system configurations across all supported equipment.
  • Assist in preparing training materials and logistics for on-site and remote training sessions.
  • Contribute to global training program development through documentation, e-learning content preparation, and resource organization.
  • Help collect and review operational data for reporting, schedule tracking, and system performance evaluation.
  • Participate in research activities to identify and test emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Works with the Connected Fleet Technician on complex troubleshooting situations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with project and Connected Fleet Technician on best practices for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of telematics and machine control systems.
  • Responsible for the activation and verification of telematics data flow from equipment to platform. (PEM's, Trackunit, Smart Fill, etc. Qualifications & Skills
  • Technical aptitude in electronics, wiring, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of GNSS, telematics, or machine control technologies.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and interact with construction team members, supervisors, and SMEs.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating tasks and supporting training activities.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a global multi-tier training and support structure.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Typically requires 48 months related work experience.
