Full Job Description Field Service Mechanic McCourt Equipment Reports To:
Field Service Manager

McCourt Equipment is looking for a Field Service Mechanic to join our team. This position travels to customer locations to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair crushing, screening, conveying, and related heavy equipment . You don't have to know everything about our equipment on day one. We provide on-the-job training to help experienced mechanics build the specialized knowledge needed to work on the equipment we represent. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting, don't want to be stuck in a shop every day, and take pride in getting equipment back up and running, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Travel to customer jobsites to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems . Diagnose equipment failures and determine the appropriate repair. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance. Repair and replace equipment components and systems as needed. Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation. Help customers minimize downtime by providing timely and effective service. Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations. Complete accurate service reports, including labor, parts, supplies, and outside purchases. Submit field service documentation and time records daily. Maintain an organized and safe work area. Follow all McCourt Equipment safety policies and procedures. Properly use PPE, tools, diagnostic equipment, and company equipment. Participate in ongoing training to continue developing technical and equipment knowledge. What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Mechanical, diesel, heavy equipment, agricultural, construction, industrial, or similar repair experience preferred. Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is a plus. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently in the field. Professional communication and customer service skills. Dependable, organized, and able to follow through on assigned work. Willingness to travel to customer locations and jobsites. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements. Don't have crushing and conveying experience? Employees must be able to:
Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull. Work in and around heavy equipment and occasionally in tight spaces. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions. Drive for extended periods while traveling to customer locations.
