Job Description
Provide mechanical and technical support to customers for commissioning, installation, inspection, maintenance, service, repair, rebuild, and upgrades of blast equipment.
Install new Wheelabrator equipment and ensure proper configuration and integration at customer sites.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Provide technical training, guidance, and support to customers.
Document all service activities including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and requirements.
Supervise projects and contractors as needed.
Participate in continuous training and certification programs.
Complete expense reports in a timely manner.
Review schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans for troubleshooting or installations.
Prepare inspection reports highlighting safety issues, maintenance needs, and recommendations.
Respond to customer service calls related to maintenance and service.
Communicate service and installation updates with stakeholders.
Identify and escalate improvement opportunities (cost, time, productivity).
Conduct on-site customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
Inform sales teams about customer opportunities or concerns.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
3-7 years in a related field.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License (clean record), Forklift Certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook).
Willingness to learn AX ERP system.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Welding, brazing, soldering, fabrication skills.
Ability to operate crane, man lift, and scissor lift.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Remote role (Northeast or Mid-Central U.S. preferred) excellent compensation with overtime (40+ hours), paid travel time, and all travel expenses covered via company Amex.
