The Role Bird Gard is looking for a highly reliable, resourceful, and self-motivated Field Support Technician (FST) who loves hands-on work outdoors and across multiple farms. This is a great opportunity for someone who isn't afraid of hard work and wants to help deliver real-world solutions to farmers using advanced technology. The role centers on two core responsibilities: Equipment support — configure, install, monitor, troubleshoot, perform minor repairs on, and relocate Bird Gard bioacoustics equipment. Data collection & reporting — collect, analyze, and report data on bird activity and crop damage at agricultural trial and commercial sites. What You'll Do Equipment & Field Operations Configure, install, and relocate bioacoustics equipment across trial and commercial farm sites. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and complete minor repairs in the field. Coordinate installation and relocation work closely with the production team. Data & Reporting Observe and document bird activity and crop damage with astute, detailed record keeping. Collect, analyze, and report field data to support product performance and trial outcomes. Collaboration Partner with the sales team and product specialists to coordinate work across farms in and around the Fresno area. Work closely with engineering on troubleshooting and on new products and equipment still being tested and improved. What We're Looking For Required Excellent people and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical ability, with sharp observation and detailed record keeping. Willing and able to lift 40 pounds and work in outdoor field conditions that are often dusty, muddy, hot, cold, or windy. Reliable, resourceful, and comfortable with physically demanding, hands-on work. Proficiency with basic math skills and using online apps. Must have a valid driver's license as well as willingness and ability to drive to and around various farms as needed. Preferred Fluency in Spanish to communicate with Spanish-speaking field personnel encountered on most farms. Microsoft Excel proficiency a plus.
