What You'll Be Doing Field Commissioning & Support:
Travel to client facilities to install, debug, and service high-speed electro-mechanical packaging equipment.
Controls & Automation:
Modify PLC programs, HMI screens, motion control (servos/steppers), vision systems, and robotic cells on site.
Electrical & Mechanical Upgrades:
Reconfigure panel layouts, update wiring schematics, and troubleshoot complex mechanical assemblies.
Client Training:
Train customer operators and maintenance teams on equipment setup, safety, and operation.
Product Improvement:
Bring real-world field feedback back to our engineering team to help design better, smarter machines.
What We're Looking For Hands-on Mechanical & Electrical Expertise:
 Proficient electro-mechanical assembly, wiring schematic reading, and tool operation (welding skills are a huge plus!).
PLC & Automation Skills:
Solid working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs with an emphasis on Allen-Bradley systems.
Motion & Drive Knowledge:
Experience with servo motors, stepper drives, and motion control logic.
Wanderlust & Flexibility:
Willing and able to travel 50%+ domestically and internationally.
Credentials:
Valid Driver's License and an active Passport (or ability to get one quickly).
Education/Experience:
Associate Degree / Technical Trade Certification OR 5+ years of hands-on electro-mechanical field service experience.

Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
other duties may be assigned as position is developed:
  • Travel to customer sites to install new machines and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and programming on existing machines
  • Modification of panel layouts and wiring schematics.
  • Modification of machine control programs including, but not limited to, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and motion control systems
  • Train customer personnel in the setup and use of Omega machines.
  • Assist in the development of improvements to Omega's machines through field experience.
  • Ongoing training as needed to keep technicians up to speed on current electrical and programming standards.
