Job Description
Provide mechanical, electrical, and technical support to customers for the commissioning, installation, inspection, maintenance, service, repair, rebuild, and upgrades of DISA green sand molding equipment.
Work directly at customer sites to troubleshoot equipment, perform service and maintenance, support installations, and provide technical training and guidance.
Install new DISA equipment and ensure proper configuration and integration with existing customer systems.
Perform equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements.
Support equipment commissioning, service, repair, rebuilds, and upgrades.
Review schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans for troubleshooting and equipment installations.
Prepare inspection reports identifying safety concerns, maintenance requirements, and recommendations.
Respond to customer service calls related to equipment maintenance and repair.
Provide technical training and guidance on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
Document service activities, repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
Communicate service and installation updates to appropriate stakeholders.
Identify and escalate opportunities to improve cost, time, and productivity.
Supervise projects and contractors as needed.
Inform the sales team of customer opportunities or concerns.
Comply with applicable Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
Participate in continuous education and certification programs to maintain current technical knowledge.
Complete expense reports in a timely manner.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
3-7 years of related experience.
Experience with die-casting equipment.
Field service and/or foundry equipment experience.
Strong electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) terminology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Outlook.
Willingness to train on and learn the AX ERP system.
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, customer service, time-management, and organizational skills.
