Field Service Technician - Direct Employment (Field Work)

1st Shift | Overtime Available Job Overview We are hiring a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites and service industrial fertilizer handling equipment. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical experience and welding skills who enjoys working independently in the field. You will work directly with customers at local co-ops, farms, and industrial sites , diagnosing issues and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to inspect, repair, and maintain equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on: Conveyors Bucket elevators Blenders and mixers Valves and rotary equipment Perform MIG welding to repair worn or damaged components Repair and troubleshoot air systems and mechanical components Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and alignment issues Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, inspections) Maintain accurate service reports and documentation Communicate with customers regarding equipment conditions and recommendations Safely operate a company vehicle while traveling Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience MIG welding experience required Experience with industrial or agricultural equipment preferred Ability to travel 50%-75% (minimum 60%) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to meet DOT requirements (physical + drug testing) Comfortable working at heights (ladders, towers, platforms) Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work Preferred Experience Field service or maintenance technician experience Experience with conveyors, elevators, or material handling systems Experience working in agricultural or industrial environments Why Join This Team Company vehicle provided for travel 100% travel expense reimbursement High level of independence and autonomy Hands-on work across a variety of equipment and sites Opportunity to grow skills in mechanical repair, welding, and field service Work Environment Field-based role with frequent travel (50%-75%) Work at agricultural and industrial customer locations Physical role involving climbing, lifting, and working at heights Exposure to outdoor conditions and industrial environments PPE provided as required Apply Today If you have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working in the field, apply now to be part of a team that values safety, reliability, and high-quality workmanship .
