- Carry out service calls & customer acquisition visits in your local area
- Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers' needs
- Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
- Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer's satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
- Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
- Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
- Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
- Perform other related duties as assigned Work Environment You will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile service unit
- a workshop-van that is outfitted with all the tools and machinery needed to successfully service your local area.
- Territory-based service areas
- Service locations may differ in terrain, noise level, temperature, common amenities available, etc.
- Oil, grease, lubricant, and other "messy" substances are frequently used
- You may be required to travel for training initiatives, at no cost to you Skills & Abilities Needed
- Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
- Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
- Mechanically inclined
- consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
- Able to work individually and as a team
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Driver's License with clean driving record
- Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus
