Part-Time Field Service Technician Signs Hawaii LLC - Aiea, HI $28-$35/hour | Part-time Signs Hawaii is looking for a dependable, mechanically and technically inclined person for a part-time field service and installation position. Sign-industry experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with tools and computers, learns quickly, solves problems, stays organized, and can be trusted to finish what they start. Training is provided. What You'll Do Work varies from day to day and may include: Install and service electronic LED signs and displays Troubleshoot electronic, computer and basic network connections Use hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment Organize and maintain shop, tools, parts and equipment Drive company vehicles, pick up equipment and eventually tow trailers Work from ladders and aerial equipment using required fall protection Assist with installations and progress toward independent service calls Keep vehicles, tools, equipment and work areas clean, organized and ready for the next job What We're Looking For Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools Comfortable using Windows computers and learning technical equipment Good practical problem-solving ability Dependable, organized and able to follow through on assignments Able to work safely at heights and outdoors Valid driver's license with ability to safely operate company vehicles Able to qualify for access to military, federal, airport and other controlled facilities Willing to work occasional evenings, overnight shifts and weekends when projects require it Experience with electronics, AV equipment, low-voltage systems, networking, construction, maintenance, automotive work, equipment operation or similar hands-on technical work is helpful but not required . Schedule & Pay This is a part-time position with hours based on service and project requirements. Some projects require evening or overnight work, including airport work that may occur approximately 11:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.

Regular company rate:

$28-$35/hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability. Higher prevailing wages apply when required on qualifying government projects. Overtime is paid when applicable. Physical Work This is a hands-on field position involving lifting and carrying equipment, climbing, bending, kneeling, working from ladders or aerial equipment, wearing a safety harness, and working outdoors in normal Hawaiʻi weather conditions. Workplace Policy This is a tobacco- and vape-free position while working on Signs Hawaii jobsites, in company vehicles, or in the immediate presence of other Signs Hawaii personnel. The Goal We are looking for someone who wants to learn and become increasingly independent. Over time, the right person should be able to receive a clearly defined service call or installation assignment, prepare what is needed, complete the field work safely and correctly, document the work, and leave the equipment, vehicle and shop ready for the next job.
