Senior Field Service Specialist Location Frederick MD Schedule Monday through Friday, standard business hours Overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel as needed Overview This is a hands-on field service role focused on testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical power equipment at customer facilities. You will work on critical power distribution and transmission systems, lead complex testing and commissioning activities, support project execution, and serve as a technical resource for both customers and team members. What you will do Field service operations Perform electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of power system equipment Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in substations and industrial power systems Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals Establish and maintain safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures Prepare field reports, test documentation, and customer deliverables Respond to emergency service requests and support on-call operations as required Testing and diagnostics Lead transformer testing including power factor, TTR, insulation resistance, winding resistance, SFRA, and partial discharge testing Perform cable testing including insulation resistance, tan delta, hipot, TDR, partial discharge, and cable fault location testing Conduct circuit breaker testing including timing, contact resistance, insulation resistance, power factor, SF6 analysis, and high-current testing Test and troubleshoot protective relays and control systems Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions Project and team support Assist with project planning, scheduling, execution, and cost management Support and participate in safety meetings and technical training Mentor less experienced technicians and share technical expertise Maintain company vehicles, tools, and test equipment in clean, organized, and calibrated condition Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical support May be modified from time to time. NETA, NFPA

70E, OSHA, and other applicable industry standards Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and electronic reporting systems Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Doble DTAF and PowerDB experience is a plus Ability to obtain NETA Level III or IV certification within six months of employment Work environment and travel Work is performed at customer facilities, substations, industrial sites, and power generation locations Must be willing to live within 60 miles of the assigned regional office Frequent travel, including overnight and multi-day projects Must be available for overtime, emergency response, and rotating on-call assignments Work may be performed outdoors and in proximity to energized electrical equipment Physical requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in various field conditions Ability to safely operate tools, test equipment, and company vehicles Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions Additional requirements Valid driver's license required Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, motor vehicle screening, and drug/alcohol testing Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and training including
